I used to work in Geology Department while pursuing my undergraduate degree, so I have always been fascinated by rocks. This boulder in Kennebunk had been on my bucket list to paint since I first saw it many years ago. Maine is well known for its rocky coastline which is great to behold at anytime of day in all kinds of weather. In Oaks Neck, Kennebunk, I was inspired to portray the beauty of this sea eroded giant at the water's edge in the early evening light.
