I was inspired to paint the transient nature of the light and atmosphere I saw while visiting Sagadahoc Bay, in Georgetown, Maine. The setting sun cast a warm color onto the land and made the sea before me seem to glow. September Calm 16x20 Oil on Ambersand Gessobord portrays the visual sensation and grandeur of the peach-colored sunset I watched that day.
