Dianna painted Lobster Cove during a week long stay on Monhegan Island with some artist friends. "It was a beautiful but windy day and the waves made painting on location very exciting. I wanted to paint the movement of the waves while trying to depict the force of the tidal surge at low tide." Dianna said that by the end of the painting session, she had to hold her easel with one hand to keep her painting gear from blowing away. Lobster Cove juried into the 'Passionate Color' show held at Roux and Cyr International Fine Art in Portland, Maine on view from October 6th - October 26th, 2017.
