This was a cool but pleasant September Day to be painting on location in Georgetown, Maine. In On the Rocks, I painted the shore during a breezy high tide focusing on the floating seaweed. The wave action seemed to be holding the seaweed next to the shoreline. The wind made little whitecaps across the inlet creating a wonderful visual texture and the filtered cloudy light added to the atmospheric scene.
