Watching waves roll onto the beach is engaging. Whether they are relaxing or menacing, the thrill never gets old. In Breaker, Oil on linen,
I worked to convey the energy of the large crashing wave partially sunlit one late afternoon. The sunshine made the splash appear warm which contrasted with the cool colored foam.
