Painting a sailor's delight sky reflecting off a beach path and surrounding dune grass was my inspiration for this work. The deep plum colored landscape reflecting the Alpenglow cast by the setting sun conveys the excitement of the scene. I focused on painting the feeling of being there, my emotional response to the 'sailor's delight' sky reflecting off the now cool sand and surrounding dune grass.
