When Bougainvillea vine is in bloom, it always commands attention. At first sight, I was drawn to this flowered arbor located in Naples, Florida. Each and every time I passed by it, the crown of radiant red flowers nearly begged me to paint it.  In Bougainvillea Splendor, 22x16 oil on canvas, I worked to convey the balance between the light and shadow on the serene garden.
