Indian Point, Georgetown is one of Maine's natural gems. Known for it's rocky seacoast, this location also offers visitors small intimate beaches, island and peninsula views surrounded by the grand Atlantic ocean. The warm late summer day with crisp, moist air also gave hint of the fall to come. Listening to the roar of crashing waves as my music, I painted White Rock Promontory on location inspired by the constantly moving sea around the large white headland. In White Rock Promontory 12x16 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord, I focused on conveying a sense of the atmosphere at the seashore.
