The Fish House on Langsford Road in Cape Porpoise, Maine is a short drive from Kennebunkport, Maine. I often visit the area because it is a great place to paint en Plein Air. This sunny afternoon, I set up my easel in the shade across the street from The Fish House. My plan was to paint the fish house which was once a bright crimson red but now had weathered to a pink over the years. The Langsford Road Lobster & Fish House next door was a busy little spot with happy customers coming and going, many of whom stopped by for a look to see what was on my easel. The final details of the painting were added back in the studio. 

On the other side the cove is one of her favorite restaurants Pier 77 with magnificent views of the Cape Porpoise harbor.
