Brickstore Museum Solo Show August 2019

A Place To Be

I painted A Place to Be while visiting Indian Point, Georgetown, Maine during an August painting trip. The evening light was so inviting that I was motivated to capture a sense of the place. There is something special about that location which I needed to convey. Sometimes selecting the right title for a painting can be a challenge so I often enlist the help of friends. This title, A Place To Be, chosen by a close friend seemed perfect for the painting. Two weeks later while I was considering a theme title for my upcoming 6-week solo show at the Brickstore Museum in Kennebunk, Maine in August of 2019, I decided that title would also be good for my solo exhibition. The opening reception for 'a place to be,' is August 9th, 2019. Hours for the opening reception will be posted as the event gets closer.
